Burrington C of E Primary School and the Community

Burrington is in an area of outsstanding natural beauty, and we are very proud to have our school here.  We are nestled at the foot of the Mendips in the middle of the village.
We are close to Burrington Combe, which is somewhere you can go and relax, It's a brillant place to do outdoor pursuits activities, also a number of people like going there to draw the amazing landscapes of Burrington Combe.
The school participates in the annual village fete and thus attracts visitors from outside the immediate vicinity adding to the overall success of the event.

Villagers without direct connections with the school actively support school events such as the Christmas Fair and drama productions staged in the Parish Room. A recent successful appeal to raise funds to build a new all-weather play area was well supported by the village community and local businesses.
As a Church of England Voluntary Aided School we enjoy close links with the Church and its congregation. The school takes an active role in leading the All Age Worship Service at least once a term and holds its own services in Church to celebrate Christmas, Easter and Harvest Festivals.
Visitors from the church join our Friday merit worship which takes place in the church.
It is often said that a school helps to keep the spirit of any village alive, this is certainly the case in Burrington.
